During nation-wide Indigenous Peruvian protest against president Alan Garcia's resource policies, violence broke out in the northern jungle region of the country. Inhabitants there were told that the land below the subsoil is available for oil extraction. This is a documentation of the groups who fought the Peruvian government to stop the destruction of their land, and the people whose lives depend on it.
